Nabeel is a Project Manager 1 at the San Jacinto River Authority’s (SJRA) Woodlands Division. In this role, he manages and completes a variety of engineering tasks to support SJRA’s mission, operating divisions, and customers. Under general direction, he plans, organizes, oversees, and coordinates projects related to raw water, potable water, and wastewater infrastructure, including multi-disciplinary, multi-phase studies, capital improvement projects, and major maintenance projects from conceptual initiation through construction closeout.

A typical day ranges from scheduling and attending progress meetings, to performing site visits, kicking off projects, and coordinating with consultants. It also includes setting up projects, making sure SJRA is posting upcoming projects for Statement of Qualifications in a timely manner and helping SJRA’s Operational Divisions update their 10-Year Project Plans.

Part of his job, and the role of the Woodlands Division altogether, is to ensure that the people in The Woodlands, Texas receive uninterrupted and high-quality levels of water and wastewater services. Both services are essential for the residents and businesses within The Woodlands and SJRA’s role in providing dependable services allows them to function without any hiccups.
